Panniculus Adiposus is a layer of fatty tissue that can be located in many places on the body. It is represented here specifically relating to the back. As opposed to a "tummy tuck," the panniculectomy discussed here is a "back tuck." Similar to the abdomen, the back when affixed with extra skin and fatty tissue can pose many problems for the patient relating both to health and to the cosmetic look of the patient.

The location of this problem also makes it a hard area to target with a conventional exercise routine. The removal of this excess tissue grants the patient many new experiences. Flexibility, freedom to wear more form fitting clothing, easier hygiene maintainence and an overall higher level of self confidence are the top reasons for completing such a procedure.

Looking at these before and after pictures you can see the dramatic reduction in overall mass and folding of the skin in multiple locations from just one procedure.
